Fit pretty easily under the dash where the old amp used … Used it to install a 12v radio head unit in my 24v japanese-import land cruiser. Fit pretty easily under the dash where the old amp used to be, wired up nicely and performing great so far. Benefit is no need to wire into ignition since the amp draw when radio is off is extremely low, and if the vehicle will sit for too long to risk that draw, you can just wire an inline fuse to it in the engine bay and pop it out while out of town etc. Hardy unit, dropped multiple times by accident while…
Nice unit! This unit was purchased to utilize my 24 volt solar panel /battery system with a good on-hand 12v dc to 120v ac voltage inverter. This was a lower cost option vice purchasing a new 24v inverter.
Not as specified Its described and specified at 480 watts. However, it cannot properly supply a 50-watt two way radio. Once the radio is transmitting, the supply cuts. It works well on 2×55 watts lights though.If you have higher power requirements, buy the bigger one. It still works but not at the specified wattage.
