You are rolling the dice with this cooler They have what could be a really nice cooler design at a very good price BUT…..They have terrible quality control on their electrics and compressor.I had two of these in a row that were bad. Two strikes and you are out in my ballpark.The first cooler was allowed to rest for 48 hours before starting it up for the first time. After 18 hours running at 37 degF it gave an error code of F4. Worked well until it died 6 months in I liked this for the 6 months it lasted (with it sitting unplugged in a closet for most of that time). After probably 100 hours of total lifetime plugged-in time over 3 camping trips, the compressor’s control box melted and the fridge no longer runs. Alpicool doesn’t seem to warranty their products and I’m outside of Amazon’s return period, so I’ve now got a $400 brick. Even when it ran, it wouldn’t run on a car battery. How unfortunate! Item was sent with staining and residue! UNBELIEVABLE! This product came with complimentary chinese medicine stains…. I know this because I cannot stand the taste of wolf berry and found it all over inside the main cooling compartment…. I spent so much time bringing it to a cleanliness condition rather than ACTUALLY testing it for cold drinks…. WOW… AMAZING IN A BAD WAY.How could they allow it to be shipped in such a poor condition!!So thankful at least I can leave feedback on my poor experience.
