Does a great job for somebody on the go! I bought this for my son who is an over the road truck driver. He was a bit skeptical at first but it has exceeded both of our expectations. The info on this pan says that it takes 10 + min per 8 oz. of food but he called me the first time he used it and had heated an entire 18 oz. can of Progresso chicken sausage gumbo in about 6-8 minutes. Everyone needs one of these for emergencies! Everyone was making fun of me when I showed them the pot that I had just ordered. However, when the hurricane came & we lost power, they were all loving me because I had bought 2 of them. They heat up in the car pretty quick ( 5 – 10 min) & the cord is long enough to sit outside on the ground. We used them to heat water for multiple uses, heated soups, cooked hotdogs but we never made popcorn. It’s deeper than what it looks like as it holds 4 cups water
