Good simple controller but lacks a few features I have to remove 2 stars due to the following:- There are no modes for color fade switching ‘smooth’ without the light totally dimming out in between colors. All the other controllers I’ve used can smoothly transition between colors without dimming out completely.- The speed and brightness buttons are the same buttons, so sometimes you dim the lights when you want to decrease the speed — a bit tedious- The cover is not back lit. at night it’s completely black and you have to…
the concept is great, and it worked very well the concept is great, and it worked very well. but i have it in a motorhome. gets very hot in there when all closed up. soon as it hit that 106 deg. it came on and wont shut off. it’s toast. i hate to buy another one. but i already have a hole in the wall.update. my sec one. it works but that high pitch i hear on any setting but the highest setting. i will NOT buy another one.if i could do no stars, i would.
Quality? I replaced something similar to this that I had for about four years before it stopped working. The ‘feel’ of this item seems much lower quality. By feel I mean it’s response and sensitivity. Response is capacitive reaction, and sensitivity is that the continuous wheel doesn’t have a smooth incremental color change as you slide your finger over it. The old one I had is no longer made. Similar but definitely not the same.
