In other words it is useless for an RV running on just batteries which is … I bought this for the TV in my RV and it start beeping right away and then shuts off. My TV current is only rated at 40 watts. I started reading the manual it is designed to shut down below 12.7 volt DC. In other words it is useless for an RV running on just batteries which is a full charge at 12.7 and half charge at 12.1 volts. It would be ok for a car that is running because the alternator keeps you above 13 volts. It would be nice if they would not advertise 12 volts and let…

It’s taking a beating and still kicking. Works quite well. I go through quite a few of these because I push them pretty hard. They’re wired straight into my batter through my car and this has a toll on things for not only my inverter, but my car battery (certainly seems to take a year off my battery life). Yet, it’s great to be able charger phones and plug in heavy appliances. Passengers can literally play PS4 in my car. So, I may push everything to the limit, but it’s totally worth it. This particular inverter hasn’t died under the…

Great portable power option! I was recently seeking a portable power inverter for use in my vehicle as well as my travel trailer for when I go camping. I happened to find the Potek 500W Inverter here and opted to give it a shot based on the price and because it looked like it would get the job done. Of course, there is a 1000W inverter; however, I don’t need anything with that much drag on my battery and am quite satisfied with 500W at this time based on my personal needs. If you’re a camper or need an emergency…
