can handle 16.5 amps AC This is a great 1000 watt inverter. I am a master electrician and I hard wired into my Van and I to run battery charges and power tools simultaneously. To test I connected a 3.5 amp battery charger and a 13 amp hammer drill and use the drill for 30 minutes and it ran like a champ.the drill ran the exact same as if it was plugged into a 120-volt AC outlet on a building and the charger had no problem charging up my batteries at the same time. it had a 16.5 amp pull off my vehicle battery so…
