so good. I use this in my van when running … So far, so good. I use this in my van when running on solar. I’ve used it three times so far and has worked well. It can be improved for sure though. The sides on the outside get quite hot which indicates a ton of heat loss. I’ll have to find a way to insulate the sides. It’s also either on or off, there is no low or high. Granted the temp is about medium but I’m finding after it’s been on for a couple of hours to be too hot so I need to turn it off for a while and then back on.I like that this has a real ceramic liner, I was expecting something thin and useless.

Heats from the sides-Lid is glass but loosy goosy The good —– It heats from the sidesThe bad ———- no insulation from metal sides it’s “owee hot”The good———- contents gets to 200 Degrees F on 14V continuous in 2 hoursThe bad ——- see # 2 aboveThe good ——–the lid is glass with non ferrous metal ring and screw holding lifting knobThe bad ——–The lid is ill fitted and slops aroundThe bad ——the hold down strap is something like a scrunchie for the hairThe good ——-the inner pot is white ceramic and removable with tabs also See # 2 aboveThe Bad ——-the bottom outside metal is smooth humps that make unit slide all over so see #2 aboveThe good——- cord is 5 feet with decent fused plug with inline on-off switchAll in all it is not very efficient for cookinng , it radiates most of the heat from the metal casing, the lid isill fitted and slops around , It would make a good heater for a V berth if you fill it and let it run…

Worked like a champ It definitely works. It is a crock pot/slow cooker, hence it cooks slow. Not sure why people dont understand that. Took 6/7 hour while i drove to cook a large FROZEN chicken breast and enough veggies for 3 people and 1/4 cup of water. Worked like a champ. It will get warm so i leave it sitting seated on the Styrofoam bottom piece it was packaged with. It keeps it sitting flat and safe from touching anything or moving while I drive.Update I have owned this for a few months now and I’ve taken it on thousands of miles worth of trips and it still works like a champ. I have celiac disease so I have to prepare my own food always. This thing is a lifesaver when I am traveling in the car.
