Save your money. Actually worse than the Ultra. This product was obviously rushed to market too fast. It takes longer to heat up than the Ultra. The manual refers to modes that arenât available, or arenât documented. For example, thereâs a âriceâ mode, but there is nothing in the manual that describes how it works, how to use it, or what it does. When I asked Instant Potâs customer service for an explanation, they said to just use the Pressure Cook mode instead. And the recipe book thatâs bundled only has recipes for the other Instant…
No programmed natural pressure release? Why? Not worth it. 1. The main reason I LOVE Instant Pot (IP) and pressure/slow cooking methods is because it allows me to “set and forget” 80% of the cooking process. The 20% is left for preparations and post-process.Most IP recipes use either QPR (quick pressure release) at the end or NPR (natural pressure release). This can be a BIG DEAL depending on what you cook, because foods like rice may become mushy and disguising if pressure is released naturally (meaning, longer than necessary)…
Bring joy back to cooking on a schedule. ( new update) Have used twice now! Made Beef Stroganoff in under 45 mins with preparation. And tonight made a 2lbs Eye Rost with Carrots and Potatoes in less then 2hr with preparation. The BEST thing was it tasted like it had cooked all night. Rost just fell apart. I would recomend the max if you dont own one to start with just because of the automatic steam release way more safe the the other that you have to release by hand; no more steam burns.
