It melted. The product melted upon first use. The case deformed as you can see in the picture. The spring also deformed. This was after 10-15 minutes of use. The fuse is still intact.

feels solid, well constructed My portable air compressor blew its fuse and the cigarette lighter plug broke so I replaced it with one I had from other broken items not in use anymore. These, however, were not heavy-duty wire, however. All those did was heat up and blow the car fuses when used in a car cig. lighter socket. After researching the matter, I found this item. It’s higher rating (16 gauge wire and 15 amp fuse) should stop all the blown car fuse issues, I suspect. I attached my wires to the item, clamped down…

High quality, works perfectly I found this product to be very high quality and it works perfectly. I use a air-pump and fatsac pump on my Malibu Wakesetter boat all summer long. Both pumps came with cheap connectors that ultimately failed. I replaced the cheap connectors with these high-quality connectors and found that they work perfectly. Highly recommend this product.
