Since that time–about a 10-day stretch–it no longer produces coffee. It merely boils the water to a brackish waste. The stem is ill fitting; therefore, water is NOT directed up the stem to make the coffee. It just boils hot water, never delivering the water to the coffee basket. Mind you, the only type of coffee preparation is a percolator, so I’ve had much experience with this coffee method…
