Good knife, terrible button assembly – If you clean lots of fish or big fish, consider different product. Please believe the poor reviews. I purchased this knife in Feb 2016 for cleaning catfish acquired in Bull Shoals Lake in Arkansas. As I missed last season due to a torn achilles, this is the first season of use for the knife. We are avid spear fishermen and the season starts June 15. As the lake was 30+ feet over flood stage, the larger catfish were more abundant than usual – hence getting 5 catfish between 12 and 18 pounds. Now to the point. I am far from a professional cleaner BUT…
DO NOT BUY, WON’T LAST! I’ve had this knife for a couple of months or so, and I went to use it the other day and the black button that you push to release the blades has gone limp and now just stays pushed back. So blades no longer lock into place. I thought that at this price I was buying something that would last. I was wrong. I will update with a pic soon.
