Better than original Whynter cord! The original cord was shorter than the AC cord. This made it a bit less convenient to find places to put it in the car. So when I had to replace the original cord (It had the tip of the plug broken off) I looked for a replacement. I saw this, and while rather expensive I decided to order it. The new cord is a heavier gauge wire than the original, which is a good safety feature that keeps the wire from overheating and also wastes less of our battery from resistance. It is MUCH easier to find…

Cord Tip Is Fragile and Challening This is the second cord we have had in 6 months. The tips are extremely fragile. Save the little red plastic protector, you will need it. When plugged in, the cord is easily “disturbed” and results in loss of power if the tip isn’t positioned “just so”. When you use the 12v pug in your outlet you will need to make sure it is not bumped or moved, as the tip seems to be extra sensitive and fragile.

Constantly breaking These seem to break constantly. At least I’m glad to be able to easily order more of them here, which I have, and suspect I will have to continue to. I can sometimes fix them, and regularly have to, and sometimes have to replace them entirely.
