Still prefer this to all other immersion heaters I have tried. 1.5 months after I receiving and using it, it would stop and start working, then stopped entirely, I opened up the plug section and found that one of the soldered contact came off. It is a very easy fix if you have a soldering gun of any kind. I have never found one of these immersion heaters that is not problematic. I prefer this one only because you can take apart any part for self-repair. That IS a plus, because it is a very simple device. Others (cheap and expensive) are made in such a way…

This is one of the few items I’ve purchased on … This is one of the few items I’ve purchased on Amazon that I’ve felt compelled to write a review on, mostly because the item didn’t work for me. When I received it I tested it in my car before leaving on a camping trip. The second time I used it was on my camping trip and although it heated my cup of water to a medium warm temperature, when it was used again it blew the fuse in my car. Since my car is a 2017 model I can’t blame it on the car. Unfortunately, this seems to have been a problem…

Wish it had better end We were happy to get these items, however the ends always fail. So we end up replacing the 12V end after a few uses. It does not matter which kind you replace it with they all do the same thing. I wish they would come with actual bake like plastic instead of the plastic they use. I know that many times we just put banana ends on them before we even use it. And, yes, we are using the right inverter strength, etc. the units always last longer with them.
