Not sure what the problem is. I had an electrical engineer install a longer electrical cord to the AC. Then I hired a handy man to install the ac in the window. It makes a great deal of noise and does not seem to be cooling as it should. I really don’t know, however, if it is the fault of the product or of the electrical engineer who did not put it back together properly. I don’t want to blame LG because I think their products are generally quite good. Right now, I’m stuck with an AC that makes considerable noise and…

NOT A HEATER, DESIGN FLAWS Using the unit now for little over 2 months in CA.There is a handful of problems with the unit, the problems seem more like design flaws rather then production flaws.Filter cover.The unit is installed correctly, leveled correctly and there is nothing to obscure the filter cover, it simply does not want to snap in place, its flimsy and the clips do not snap in place to hold the cover closed. Solution was using tape, not really a good solution for a expensive device…
