The Koolatron Travel Saver 12-Volt cooler’s large 45-quart capacity and unique domed lid make it a great choice for those long road trips. It can keep your groceries cold while you workout at the gym or pick-up the kids. The unique “domed” lid provides maximum space for larger bottles. As with most Koolatron’s , this model can also be used as warmer. The AC adapter, sold separately, will allow you to use the Travel Saver wherever there is standard household outlet. The P95 is ideal for long trips, big families and tailgate parties.

The Koolatron Cooler/Warmer was invented over 30 years ago but even today, is a well-kept secret. It replaces traditional ice chests with technology that is even more sophisticated than your home refrigerator, and far better suited for travel. It’s ideal for road trips, camping excursions, boating, tailgate parties, and just about any other away-from-home activity–or at home or dorm as a fridge or a warmer. Koolatron thermoelectric coolers keep your food and beverages cool without requiring you to stock up on ice every few hours. It plugs directly into your car’s 12-volt power outlet, or into an optional 110VAC adapter (sold separately), where it draws less power than your car’s parking light. Once plugged in, the cooler’s solid state thermoelectric cooling module–which takes up less space than a 1.5” x 1.5” matchbook–will cool the contents by approximately 40 degrees F lower than the temperature of the surrounding air. For example, at a temperature of 80 degrees F the contents of the cooler will stay at 40 degrees F. As a result, you can store cool drinks for extended trips, preserve leftovers, and even keep ice cubes whole for three or four days longer than traditional coolers. No more costly stops for soda or snacks, saving you both time and money while on the road.

And your Koolatron Cooler doesn’t just keep things cool. What’s amazing is that with a simple flip of the cord, Koolatron becomes a warmer. You can use the Koolatron Cooler to heat food up to 130 degrees F–hot enough for a potluck dinner or a picnic meal–or for warming infant food and bottles while on the road. For over 35 years Koolatron has been manufacturing these portable 12V cooler/warmers right here in North America.

Key Features

12V Solid state Portable Cooler/warmer plugs directly into your vehicle’s 12V outlet Keeps contents 40 degrees F cooler than outside (ambient) temperature OR heats up to 130°F Solid state technology with only one moving part–the fan motor. No compressors, coils, or gases Great for short or long haul road trips, camping or even in the house (with optional AC Adapter) Reliable and built in North America to last image Only one moving part (a 12V fan) means a more durable, longer operating life

Because of the tough demands and reliability requirements of space, scientists had to find something more dependable and less bulky than traditional refrigeration coils, gases and compressors. Extensive research finally led to a miraculous solid state component: the Thermoelectric Module.

The Koolatron Cooler has only one moving part, the fan motor, so there are no parts to wear out or break down. Since the thermoelectric module is a solid state heat pump, it’s not affected by tilting, jarring or vibration–which often causes compressor based refrigerators to fail. The 12V cooling Module is no bigger than a matchbook, yet delivers the cooling power of a full 10 pound block of ice.

Thermoelectric cooling has been proven with over 50 years of use in the most rigorous space, missile control, and laboratory applications. Koolatron, a North American company, was the first manufacturer to make this technology available to families, boaters, fishermen, campers, and hunters or for anyone on the go. Home refrigeration has come a long way since the ice box and blocks of ice. But on the road, the only choice for many years was to go back to messy ice chests and soggy, even spoiled food. Now all the advantages of home refrigeration cooling are available electronically in your car while traveling.

Consider Your Last Trip

You finally got away on your vacation and are cruising comfortably in the car along a busy interstate with only a few rest stops or road side restaurants. The kids are hungry. Your fully stocked Koolatron Cooler could have come to your rescue with fruits, sandwiches and drinks–all fresh and cold. Everyone could have helped themselves. With the option to choose from over 15 different sizes and shapes of Koolatron Coolers, you have the right size cooler for your trip. You save precious cargo space–and also save valuable vacation time and money with fewer stops and fewer expensive on-the-go restaurant bills.

Just Load It Up And Plug It In, and Save Money as Well

On motor trips, just plug your Koolatron into your car’s 12 volt power outlet. It uses less power than a tail light. If you decide to carry it to a picnic spot or a fishing hole, the Koolatron Cooler can hold its cooling capacity without power for several hours.

With two Koolatron Coolers you can have one to keep drinks cold and another to keep food warm. A family of four on a week’s vacation on the road can save more money than the cost of the Koolatron while being able to picnic at rest stops or anywhere the family prefers.

A Wide Number of Practical Uses

The Koolatron Cooler offers a number of benefits to anyone who travels frequently in a vehicle. Great for day trips, long overnight journeys, pleasure boating, fishing, camping or just traveling around town. And because there’s only one moving part (the 12-volt fan), virtually nothing in the cooler can wear out. The Koolatron Cooler can also be invaluable as an extra fridge in a recreation room or basement bar, the main fridge in a dorm room, as a medical cooler for samples or temperature-sensitive drugs, and as a storage case for heat-sensitive camera and film equipment in extreme climates.

Exceeded expectations. After owning 2 Coleman full sized 12v coolers in the past, I figured I’d try this unit to see if the space was more useable. The Colemans always treated me well but I found that depending on what and how you put stuff in them, it would be difficult to find room to stack things on top without crushing them. This Koolatron just returned from a 3 week road trip across the country with my two kids and was used the entire time, both in the suv and hotel rooms. It’s quiet, so quiet that I often had…

Thermoelectric coolers are not very good Koolatron is the best thermoelectric cooler you can buy in its class. But the last two I have purchased did not last a year. The hot and cold thermoelectric plate on this model went out within 4 mouths. I am a truck driver so I can’t afford to be with out a cooler. So I decided to get the real thing, which was a $800 portable fridge/freezer. Yes it’s alot of money, but in the long run its better than buying thermoelectric coolers until they can build them to last. The reason I gave it 3 stars…

You get what you pay for Purchased my unit in 2015 for camping. Like the idea of partially eliminating ice. The Kooler stays outside the camper to hold drinks. It works about as advertised. Construction is cheap as expected but it worked for 3 camping seasons until the AC to DC power adapter smoked. The power supply is down right scary. I plugged it into a high quality 12VDC power supply and it’s still working. We found that you need to put ice packs in the Cooler to help it cool down and then only put…
