Koolatron vs RoadPro There is a big difference with this Koolatron model and the RoadPro copy. I’ve owned both. They’re both priced identically and work good but in different ways. The RoadPro operates at a higher amp level so it will heat the food to a higher temp at a much faster rate. It can over-cook it too if left on too long. The RoadPro took about 30 minutes to make my meatloaf, potatoes and peas super hot. The Koolatron needs about 1-1.5 hrs to get it to that same level of heat. The problem with the RoadPro is it will blow your fuses guaranteed. This happened to me three times with two different vehicles. This Koolatron takes a much longer time to heat up, almost too long. The problem with that is it will run down your battery if left plugged in for too long. This happened in my Ford F550 work truck after leaving it plugged in for about 6 hrs to heat up two different meals during my shift. We had to get a jump. That being said, I love both versions of them.

Love it!!! Bought this for my boyfriend who is a custom applicator or as most people would say, a fertilizer sprayer. He is in a huge terragator type tractor for up to 18 hours per day at this time of year. After 20 years of living off of lunchmeat and sub sandwiches from April-September, he is overjoyed to have this. The first day he brought leftover pizza and he said that it was like fresh-out-of-oven from the restaurant after 15 minutes. He’s tried everything from hot pockets to leftover tatortot casserole, and it all turned out perfect. All of his coworkers are jealous and want one of their own. My boyfriend said that he doesn’t know how he went all of these years without something like this. The only thing that they could improve on is to make a re-usable pan that fits inside. I bought disposable pans at Walmart for 3/$1, but that gets expensive after awhile. I have searched the internet for a loaf pan that fits inside, but they’re all too big or tiny. If anyone has found one,…
