A Solid State thermoelectric module acts as a heat pump to remove heat away from the fridge, utilizing state of the art, unique heat pipe technology for improved performance. Heat from the thermoelectric module is absorbed by the heat pipe, vaporizing the liquid refrigerant and rapidly moving heat away front eh source, allowing for faster temperature drop. Uses environmentally friendly R134A refrigerant. This technology has been widely used by the military, aerospace and computer industries primarily for rapid heat transfer!.

Not great for Off-Grid applications. Uses too much power. This little fridge runs CONSTANTLY! We have a new, passive, fully solar cabin. We have dual battery banks, this fridge is powered by (as well as a few very efficient LED lights) its own 900 amp hour battery bank, with 960 watts of monocrystaline panels and an 80 amp charge controller. It uses nearly all of the 50% of the bank that we allow for overnight power. My Kill-a-Watt says it draws at least 6 amps and uses 90-some watts per hour. Our house is cool (upper 60s most days), maybe our…

This cooler is completely useless. Do not buy it I would give it no stars if possible. Purchased for a trip, it cooled while in my basement to 40 degrees. While on trip at night the unit cooled to 40, during the day when temps got to 80 unit temp was often in 50’s and 60’s. We ended up getting a ice chest as most of our food had spoiled. This cooler is completely useless. Do not buy it.
