The cable came with a 15 amp fuse installed, they also include a 25 AMP fuse. I would never attempt to put more than 15 Amps on 16 AWG wire.I wish I could find a cable like these with 14 or 12 AWG wires.
This item works great. The inline fuse is a bonus This item works great. The inline fuse is a bonus, and the heavy wiring is high-quality. I use it camping to tap into a 105 amp-hour deep cycle battery to obtain straight 12-v cigarette lighter power. My main use is to connect a base CB radio to it through the adapter. The alligator clips and the wiring are both seriously well-made. For the money, you can’t go wrong.
