Not warm enough for pain relief, but if that’s not your intended use, this will probably meet your needs. I liked the convenience and quality of this heating pad, but unfortunately it just didn’t get hot enough for my needs. I have endometriosis and needed the heat for pain relief while driving. Loved this, until it caught on FIRE when I was driving! I loved this heating pad to help with pain, and just normal chills, on drives. After working great for over a full year, a few months ago I was driving around the beltway in moderate traffic and noticed smoke! I immediately pulled onto the shoulder and started trying to find the source – imagining the car was about to blow up! It was the heating pad smoldering where the cord met the edge of the pad. Best present of all I received this as a gift from my husband for Christmas, and I absolutely love this!! If I’m not using it my daughter is!! I have lower back pain as well as bowel issues that it helps settle and it truly is a God send in the car!! We travel a lot as we live in a rural place so this has been amazing. Cycles are long and I do wait before its done with its cycle before in plugging it. There is no on off switch, just the 30 or 45 minute cycles to choose from. Best present of all.
