Boiling Hot Water! it heats up a lot faster while driving. Once it is at a boil, it shuts down automatically. I’ve been making great hot cups of coffee with it.

Dealer said no problem with using this on cars. Need to be little more careful if using power inverters, but this is at least low power and safe. Bottom line – It works, but just don’t be in a big hurry. It did bring water to a technical boil, not a roiling boil, but enough for hot powdered drinks and soup and vacuum packed meals etc so survival-wise it works especially if your just heating say a cup or two of water, but if your trying to boil a liter of water at once – I never had the patience to try that.
