Works fo me I bought this cable for the barrel plug and the wire. I cut the cig lighter end off and wired it into a small amplifier for a DIY boombox project. The wire is nice and flexible plus it is plenty long for my purposes. I have soldered barrel connectors on myself before, but this is such a clean way to do it. The barrel connector will be plugged in and unplugged a lot as it is the connection from a battery pack, so I think this setup will be a reliable way to do it.
This is a nice cable with an adapter in case you need the smaller plug. I needed a cable for my 12v amp to boost the power to my aux input. This one is nice quality, and it arrived in two days.
Be Careful. Decent product but after using it for 20 min at 40 watts melted down at the plug. Wires are great stainless or aluminium contacts got hot melted plug if I didn’t smell it would have been totally liquid. 40 wats is equal to 3.1 amps. Be careful using with anything you love car… truck… jeep…. vanExpected at least 100 to 120 wats at least.
